The EOD Memorial & Scholarship Foundation website is designed to create a living memorial for the fallen EOD service members and their families.
The clean two column layout of the site provides the viewer with the history of EOD and the Memorial as well as an active list of every fallen EOD service member since WWII.
The donation page allows the viewer to select an item to purchase through PayPal, submitting a request through the EOD Memorial Foundation and saving the needed data into a database for documentation.

shapes by jay gordon
- designer: andrew foster, eric hinote
- solutions: identity, design, html/css
"Shapes," a small site with big meaning…
The grid layout of the site is based upon the "Golden Ratio" which is derived mathematically from the nautilus shell. All the jargon aside – the layout is tried and true, simple yet sophisticated.
During the logo creation phase, the client felt a compelling need to keep the design as simple as possible. The concept combines basic triangular "shapes" and the three primary colors. These building blocks that symbolize craftsmanship, precision and simplicity also form a unique "J" and "G".
In addition to the main logo, a supplementary logo was created. The idea was to literally create the word "shapes" by combining basic semi-circles, triangles and polygons.
Another great element to the overall success of any site is excellent client input. In this case, Jay authored a truly astounding autobiography which gives new viewers an awesome look into his life.

unf | coggin college of business
- designer: eric hinote
- solutions: design, html/css,
The UNF Coggin College of Business website redesign was a project that not only required a new image but a restructuring of the site architecture and HTML code to meet ADA compliance.
Many of Coggin Colleges programs needed a fresh look that showcased their ability to transform students way of leaning and thinking. One challenge within the design was to present a logical navigation structure to provide the viewer with the needed information about the courses.
The Career Management Center in the college offers specialized services to help students begin successful careers. Through workshops, resume reviews, corporate recruiting and interviews the center provides students with a competitive edge to secure the best positions in today's business market.

hernando de soto exhibit
- designer: eric hinote, kyle legette
- solutions: design, installation
This wall exhibit was commissioned by The Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce as they moved into a new high technology office suite and revolves around Hernando de Soto's exploration of the region. The illustration and text create windows of information that are framed by the outline and ribs of the ship.
The text was completed as a transfer process to create an aged and worn feel. This involves reverse printing the text, applying a solvent and hand burnishing each letter individually to the wall. The life-size caricature of de Soto is carved out of plywood and floated above the entire piece.
The illustration was completed on a 10' wooden box using pastels and then sealed with an acrylic varnish. The geographically detailed map shows the many inlets east of the Mississippi River Delta that existed during the time of de Soto's exploration.

¡Buitre!
- designer: andrew foster
- solutions: identity, design, html/css
the first nicaraguan surf company...
From the beginning, ¡Buitre! was an intense endeavor. Starting a grass roots apparel company in a third world country sounded crazy but, that was the initial goal.
The logo creation was meant to captivate the essence of a true ¡Buitre!- dark, cold, aggressive, and relentless.
The form was to be legible from a distance, for instance on a surfboard. Upon closer inspection, the larger "B" abstactly forms the quintessential ¡Buitre!
The site features ten local Nicaraguan surfers that the company sponsors. Each profile page includes an interview, a short biography and photographs.
And we didn't forget our roots in the process, ten percent of all proceeds go to the local Nicaraguan community.
The best part about it all was the learning process. Having a vision, moving upon the idea and following through.

e&a gyotaku
- designer: eric hinote, andrew foster
- solutions: design, illustration, html/css
The fine art of printing fish.
The design for this site relvolves around a hand stamped wave, painted with watercolors then slightly Photoshopped to create the feel of an old Japanese painting. We took the oriental concept one step further by making the site a single scrollable page utilizing a Mootools javascript.
The website showcases some collaborative pieces by latro12 members Eric Hinote and Andrew Foster.
